What this test measures

The assessment maps how you relate across the dimensions below — each one a spectrum, not a box.

Focus & Attention

Your attention follows interest, not instructions.

A high score here suggests attention that obeys fascination rather than obligation. When something genuinely interests you, concentration arrives effortlessly — deep, immersive, hours can vanish. When it doesn't, attention slips away mid-sentence, and you re-read the same line three times without confusion, simply absence. This isn't laziness or a broken filter; it's an interest-based attention system. In a world built around obligation-driven tasks, that wiring creates a distinctive daily texture: brilliant inside the zone of fascination, expensive everywhere else.

Energy & Momentum

Your energy runs in surges, not a steady hum.

A high score here describes a motor that revs hard: stillness takes effort, impulses arrive a beat ahead of reflection, and new beginnings exert a magnetic pull. Your energy tends toward extremes — fully on or fully depleted — with a calm middle gear that's harder to find than it sounds. The upside is real: momentum, spontaneity, and the ability to light up a room or a project. The cost shows up in queues, long meetings, and mid-phases where the novelty has worn off but the finish line hasn't arrived.

Sensory World

You experience the world at high resolution.

A high score here means your senses run at a volume others don't share. Textures, frequencies, lighting temperatures, and small environmental details register strongly — sometimes beautifully, sometimes unbearably. Busy environments leave you drained in a way that feels physical rather than social, as if your system has been running at high volume all day. The same sensitivity that makes crowded spaces costly also makes music, food, nature, and comfort intensely rewarding. It's not a defect in filtering; it's a different setting on the dial.

Social Wiring

You socialize by translation, not by default.

A high score here describes social interaction as a conscious process rather than autopilot. Unspoken rules arrive as a code to decode, small talk takes real effort, and after conversations — even good ones — you replay what you said, checking how it landed. Your communication style tends toward directness, sometimes reading as blunter than intended. None of this means you lack warmth; it means your sincerity runs literal rather than performative. Depth beats ritual for you: one real conversation is worth a dozen pleasant ones.

Pattern & Depth

You build mental maps, not snapshots.

A high score here points to a mind that systemizes: you notice structures, rules, and inconsistencies almost automatically, and when a topic catches you, you don't skim it — you map it, layer by layer, until the underlying logic is yours. There are probably one or two subjects you know with unusual depth, and diving into them feels energizing rather than effortful. The trade-offs are real too: unexpected changes to plans create friction beyond their size, and shallow engagement with things you can see the structure of can feel almost pointless.

Sample statements

Every statement is rated from “Almost never” to “Almost always”. Here are three from the actual test:

“When a task doesn't hold my interest naturally, I find myself re-reading the same line or re-doing the same step — not because I'm confused, but because my attention simply slipped away mid-process.”
“I frequently walk into a room, open a new tab, or pick up my phone and immediately realize I've already forgotten what I was going for.”
“I tend to have multiple projects or ideas running at the same time — moving between them feels more natural than finishing one completely before starting the next.”

Frequently asked questions

Is this a diagnostic test for ADHD or autism?

No — and it's important that it isn't. This is a self-discovery tool that maps how strongly certain widely-documented traits show up in your everyday life. It cannot diagnose anything, and a low or high score is not a clinical finding. If you're seeking assessment, that's a conversation for a qualified professional.

How long does the test take?

About 6 minutes. There are 20 statements, each rated on a 5-point scale, and your personalized report is generated instantly when you finish.

I purchased on Etsy — how do I use the test?

The test is included in your purchase, with no separate code to redeem. To unlock it, open the unlock page and enter your Etsy order number plus the email you used at checkout — your browser then keeps the test available for about a year. No account is needed to take it.

What is a trait constellation?

Your constellation is a named profile that reflects which dimensions are most prominent — for example, 'The Spark' (strong focus and energy traits) or 'The Attuned One' (sensory sensitivity as the core). When your two highest dimensions are close, your profile includes undertones of the second, like 'The Spark with Pattern & Depth Undertones'.

What do the intensity levels mean?

Each dimension is scored 1.0–5.0 and mapped to four levels: Subtle, Mild, Moderate, and Strong. Subtle means the trait barely registers in daily life; Strong means it's a core part of how you experience the world. None of the levels is better or worse — they describe texture, not quality.

Are my answers stored anywhere?

No. Your answers live only in your own browser's temporary session storage while you take the test, and they're cleared when your session ends. We don't store your raw answers on our servers. Only if you choose to save a report does the scored result get stored with your account, so you can reopen it later.

About six minutes from now, you could see your pattern clearly.

Your answers stay on your device — you just get the report.
